After various professional experiences, we wanted a change of pace, to live surrounded by nature and at our own rhythm! We were eager to welcome people seeking nature, greenery, and tranquility! Our wishes have come true, and the whole family has been delighted to get involved in this new project: "Hestia's Cabins"!
The cabins were a former children's holiday camp, nestled in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Park , between 2001 and 2018. In 2019, this former camp was renovated into unusual cottages and renamed "Hestia's cabins", after the goddess of the home.
The cabins are nestled in the heart of the forest, on a 7-hectare estate, just 1.5 km from La Salvetat-sur-Agout via a forest path. The estate is crossed by a spring and two small streams where deer come to drink. It also boasts a beautiful chestnut grove.We enjoy collecting chestnuts in the autumn and making them into jam for the breakfasts of those staying in the cabins. We have also placed our beehives there to produce our honey and delight our residents!
At Cabanes d'Hestia , we want more than just accommodation; we want it to be a nourishing adventure, a reconnection with yourself. A "forest break" designed to bring you back to the essentials, to the very heart of your deepest nature.
The decor is also timeless! Each cabin is inspired by the warm atmosphere of homes from the 50s to the 70s.
In our area, there is no visual or noise pollution, a world where nature reigns supreme and tranquility is the norm. You will be soothed by the symphony of the two streams , and you will contemplate the pond where our trout dabble. The icing on the cake is that with the Natural Source of Salvetat , your cells will be invigorated by this splendid elixir of life.
In our paradise , air conditioning is "natural" : our cabins, perched at an altitude of 780 meters, guarantee cool and restorative nights . The pure forest air completes this experience, offering you a breath of fresh air.
To enhance the quality of your sleep, we have selected exceptional bedding***, pure cotton sheets that will envelop your nights in cozy and restorative comfort. With us, every detail is designed for your optimal rest.
In this timeless universe, people come to rest in complete serenity, so calm is required at all times of the day, and even more so between 9 p.m. and 9 a.m.To ensure peace and quiet for everyone, cars remain in the parking lot, 200 meters from the cabins . In keeping with this spirit, Wi-Fi is available in the "Préau" area, and the cabins do not have microwaves (but do have ovens), televisions, or Wi-Fi. Here, you can listen to the birds, gaze at the stars, and admire the flowers blooming. 🌿✨
We live among the animals of the forest: from the smallest to the largest, they are all here! Will you be lucky enough, at sunrise, to spot a deer drinking from the stream, to encounter those nut-stealing squirrels, or perhaps, as the world falls asleep, will you hear the tawny owl announce its reign over the night? Otters, martens, minks, wildcats, salamanders... They all pass through our domain...
On some summer evenings, the Milky Way shines brilliantly... Free from light pollution, from your terrace or in your private spa, immerse yourself in this starry sky... Under the moonlight, you will see the Great and Little Bear, Orion and all his companions!
We aim to promote eco-responsibility and environmentally conscious tourism, fostering a sustainable and responsible approach. This experience will involve feeding our hens your food scraps, separating peelings for compost and the rest for recycling . Our convictions align perfectly with the Park's values!
From the very beginning of Les Cabanes, this philosophy has been at the heart of our work. We have used local companies, favored high-quality materials for our studios, environmentally friendly paints, and second-hand decorative objects...
Here we only use natural products for the maintenance of the cabins.
The forest welcomes us with open arms, and in return, we pledge to protect it with love! 🌳♻️
Activities from our hamlet : Hiking trails , Mountain biking circuits, Water sports, Trial, Bucolic path leading to the village.
Hestia's cabins host numerous workshops dedicated to well-being (Yoga) and reconnection (personal development), creativity (watercolor and painting), and the practice of sports and leisure activities (hiking, cycling)...
This village, designated a "Green Resort," is famous for its sparkling water and also invites you to discover its lake, where you can enjoy water sports and its beaches. Finally, don't miss the cultural treasures our region has to offer, such as the Menhir Statue Museum, the Museum of Rural Life, and the Museum of Prehistory.
